Aucnet Launches KITARO Fleet Management System in Southeast Asia
Minato-ku, Tokyo, 24 July 2017 — Aucnet Inc., a provider of IT support services in Japan, announced today that it has developed an English-language version of its cloud-based KITARO Connected Fleet Management System and embarked on extending the KITARO service area beyond Japan. Aucnet initiated KITARO’s expansion into Southeast Asia on July 20 by launching it in Malaysia, where it is collaborating with Petaling Jaya, Selangor-based cloud services provider TK International Sdn. Bhd. to test, market, and provide the service.
KITARO allows fleet operators to ensure complete monitoring of driver behavior as well as manage vehicle movement and operating conditions. It lets them track the location of their trucks in real time, log trip histories, and check driving habits to make potential problems visible and encourage safe-driving practices. Such features promise to be of great utility in Southeast Asian markets, where many aspects of driver training have not kept pace with the advances in transport infrastructure accompanying economic progress, and specific measures for dealing with challenges in vehicle and driver-behavior management are still in their early stages.
Aucnet intends to begin its move into Southeast Asia by providing KITARO to fleet managers of Japanese enterprises operating in Malaysia. Once it has established a track record working with them, it will begin offering the service to local businesses and look into expanding into Singapore, the Philippines, and elsewhere in the region.
In conjunction with KITARO’s launch in Malaysia, TK International will conduct proof-of-concept trials with the cooperation of Japanese businesses there.
