“To allow customers to select “it” with peace of mind”
Take used cars as an example. Inspections in the used car market are evaluations of quality. No two used cars are in exactly the same condition. Accordingly, values differ significantly among individual cars. In other words, the values of used cars differ significantly depending on their condition, and inspections are undertaken to determine the value of each car.
In our inspection business, we have strict inspections conducted by Automobile Inspection System, Inc. (AIS), a third-party organization, to allow our customers to trade products with different values with peace of mind without seeing the actual items.
■ Inspection business
We have inspected more than 8 million vehicles in more than 20 years of operation. The inspection data from AIS are used for a wide range of distribution settings, from auctions to retailing. We strive to improve the reliability of our inspections by unifying the standards. We ensure reliable transactions with highly precise checking functions and data delivery forms.
■ Training business
We have created the AIS Kentei, a test that proves the reliability of users, based on our wealth of experience and extensive track record in inspections. We provide consistent inspection training programs, from basic training to applied training. We foster capability in determining value and inspection skills, which are essential in the various settings of the automobile sales business. We thereby help our customers to increase their profits and gain trust.
Industry-Standard Inspection Criteria
■ Thorough checks by professional inspectors
We have as many as 160 qualified inspectors all over the country. They thoroughly check more than 300 inspection items for each vehicle. They also continue to improve their skills and ensure strict evaluations to allow customers to trade vehicles with peace of mind.
■ Inspection standards unified with five companies affiliated with automakers
With support from used car business companies affiliated with Toyota, Honda, Nissan, Matsuda, and Subaru, respectively, we promote the unification of the evaluation criteria to further improve the reliability of used cars and boost the used car market. We thereby aim to establish industry standards for used car inspections.
